YOUTH GROUP
Wednesday's 2:45 PM- 7:15 PM
(no early release: 3:45 PM- 7:15 PM)
Youth begins at 2:45 (3:45 on non early release days) to hang out, eat snacks, and do homework. Our middle schooler bus arrives about an hour after. We play games and break into Kingdom Groups, then go to Impact Dinner at 5:30. We have a message time and break into small groups afterwards.
Impact Dinner
Impact Dinner takes place in the LEC gym at 5:30pm on Wednesday's. The dinner costs $6 (or $20 for a family of 4) and reservations are required. RSVP's are due by noon on the Monday before and can be made by responding to the Remind text message, or turning in a Connect Card Sunday morning.
Wednesday Rush Bus Program
On Wednesday's, our bus program sends our church bus to pick up our students from DeLand Middle and South Western Middle School. DeLand Middle School pick up is in the parking lot by the gym and the bike racks. South Western Middle School pick up is in the bus loop. Students need to have a Bus Form turned in before they can ride on the bus.
Fundraising
Fundraisers provide our youth the opportunity to work and earn money that goes into their student accounts. Youth can use their student accounts to pay for trips that we go on!
Overflow Youth Group has 2 major annual fundraising events: our Rummage Sale in March, and our Pumpkin Patch in October. We also sell food during the Downtown Christmas Parade, and we sell Bundt Cakes during the holidays. Our Fundraising Committee plans other smaller fundraisers.
